Some great advice for today (and every day)

The weather gurus have tipped today as being the hottest day of the year so far… so we thought this video would be most appropriate.

The video is based on the hit song, Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen, which was a 1999 hit for Australian film director Baz Luhrmann – who is best known for the films, “Strictly Ballroom” and the 1996 remake of “Romeo and Juliet,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.

The words of the song are taken from a column that appeared in the Chicago Tribune on June 1, 1997 entitled “ADVICE, LIKE YOUTH, PROBABLY JUST WASTED ON THE YOUNG” by staff writer Mary Schmich.

Though the advice on sunscreen may since be up for debate, the advice for life is as good today as it was back then.

So enjoy the sun… and let us know in the comments which piece of advice most struck a chord with you.
